FAQs
Enrollment timeframe: Registration closes 24 hours before the class begins.
Is there is a waiting list? Because these classes one-offs, we do not offer a waiting list. If the class is full when you apply, we will email you and ask if you’d like to attend another class (generally covering a different medium of art).
Signing up for multiple classes: Students can attend every workshop, consecutively, or just those which interest them throughout the semester.
Special Collaborators
Our March 16th workshop is part of the Quilting for Community Recovery Project, a collaborative initiative led by NC State University, Appalachian State University, and Universidad de los Andes. It uses quilting as a form of storytelling and healing after Hurricane Helene. Each session provides a supportive space where participants create individual quilt squares that together form a “textile map” of community memory and recovery. These squares will be joined to make quilts that will be part of a series of exhibitions planned for 2026 and 2027.
Financial Transparency
We are committed to offering affordable opportunities for our community, but what are the real costs of running a studio? This breakdown of our expenses helps to demonstrate our expenses and why donations are still requested to keep our space operational.
