At TOSS, we believe art education is essential for personal and professional development, and should be accessible to every student. 

In Burke County, just two art teachers serve our public schools. This limited access to arts education means many students have fewer opportunities to explore their creativity, develop artistic skills, and experience the benefits of creative learning.

Every month, TOSS serves more than 1,700 public school students across 8 schools through in-school and after school programs.

Our programming gives students the opportunity to develop artistic skills and build creative thinking strategies they can use in the classroom, workplace, and beyond. We provide need based scholarships to ensure there are no barriers to access.

40% of our TOSS students receive a need-based scholarship, and our monthly operational costs average $20,000.

Monetary and in-kind donations help TOSS provide meaning, accessible arts education across Burke County. Your support helps cover the costs of materials, program staff, scholarships, transportation, and the day-to-day operations that make the work possible! 

Looking for ways to support TOSS through in-kind donations? Donations of non-perishable, individually wrapped snacks and other supplies help us support students in our programs.
